Avocado green is this autumn's trendiest colour. As well as being a vindication for everyone who has hung on to their bathroom suite since 1978, it’s said to be part of a growing desire to bring the colours of the natural world into our homes. The idea is that as the world becomes ever more technological, we're more and more drawn to earthy colours and natural materials.

Green on the inside or just the outside?
There's nothing at all wrong with bringing the colours of nature into your home…. But wouldn't it be even better to bring some of the actual stuff in too?
After all, an avocado green sofa isn't particularly natural if it's stuffed with plastic foam and dacron, and covered in chemical fire retardants and nasty 'smart fabric' coatings.
